Should I Change My Last Name?

Hi. I'm 18 and just started college where I'm going to major in political science. I want to be a politician but I feel insecure about my name, Mike Vandikki (pronounced "Van-dicky). I have always been embarrassed of my last name and have been teased about it. I've been thinking about changing my name since I was like 12. I don't have a problem with changing my last name and my family says they support my decision, but I want to have a last name that was once a part of my family. I found out that my great-great grandfather's last name was Atlas. So my question is, would the name Mike Atlas be a good name for a politican?
